How to Enable Chrome Remote Desktop Unattended Access

Step 1. On the computer where you want to set up unattended access, open Chrome and go to Chrome Remote Desktop.

Step 2. Select Remote Access and click download. Follow the prompts and install the Chrome Remote Desktop extension and host component.

Step 3. Return to the Remote Access screen. Click the Turn button, enter a name for the computer, and then click Next.

Step 4. Create a strong PIN to protect your connection. Confirm the PIN and click Start. You have completed the Chrome Remote Desktop unattended access setup on the remote computer. You should consider modifying the computer’s sleep settings so it stays awake and can be accessed remotely.

Step 5. Open Chrome Remote Desktop on the computer you will connect from, and select Access my computer. Verify you have signed in with the same Google account used on the remote machine.

Step 6. Navigate to Remote Access and select the named computer previously set up for unattended access. Make sure the computer is powered on and connected to the network.

Step 7. When prompted, enter the PIN you created. You will shortly be connected to the unattended computer and will be able to control it remotely.
