HelpWire is on Product Hunt and out of early access
HelpWire is live on Product Hunt today. The page starts at zero followers and zero reviews, which needs a word of explanation.
We launched on Product Hunt in November 2023 under Electronic Team’s company page, alongside other products. On Product Hunt, reviews and followers accumulate at the page level, so everything HelpWire earned went into a shared pool where nobody browsing could tell which product it belonged to. This time HelpWire has its own listing.
What today marks
HelpWire has left early access, and paid plans are now live. The plans differ in capacity, not in features: nothing you use today is taken away. The details are in the pricing announcement.
The bigger changes since 2023 are easy to list. Linux support for both the technician and end-user apps. Unattended access, first on Windows, then macOS, then Linux. A team layer: inviting technicians, joint sessions, groups, and per-group permissions. Quick Connect for one-off sessions without an account. Two-factor login, reconnect after a reboot, and several sessions open at once.
The smaller ones say more about how the product was built. One example. Technicians kept running into fields that refuse pasted input, most often password prompts on login screens. The workaround was typing a generated password by hand, character by character, over a remote connection. So the clipboard can now send text as keystrokes. That fix, like the keyboard-layout switch and the sleep-mode settings, came from watching real support sessions, and that is what three years of early access were for.
Where to find us today
Yaroslav, our PMM, has posted the first comment on the Product Hunt thread, and we are answering questions there throughout the day. If you run remote support, that thread is the most useful place to share your first-hand feedback.
